European-American hybrid. Home-cities around the world: Orinda, Braunschweig, Glasgow, Tabor, Copenhagen, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Berlin. English, German, Danish, Czech all spoken on occasion. California and the American Southwest. Road trips in the US and train trips in Europe (if the Eurorail was a man I'd marry him). I've never worn sunglasses inside.

PhD-student in Cultural Studies (full pretentious name: Comparative Studies in Discourse and Society) at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. And from now, July 2008 until (?), stationed in Berlin. Connected to two institutions here: the Center for Popular Music Research at the Humboldt-University and the Archive of Youth Cultures. Writing a dissertation on techno/gabber/industrial, etc. musics in Germany. YEY!
